Interviews

To the Author:

     1. When and why did you begin writing?
Honestly, I can't remember when. I've been writing for so long that I can't really remember when or why. I probably just wanted some way that people could be proud of me and I could be proud of myself.
     2. When did you first consider yourself a writer?
I was a writer in sixth grade when I began a novel (never finished by the way - maybe next time) but I finally titled myself as a real writer that had a reason to call herself one last year (2010) when I completed the first version of Gangster's Paradise and when everyone applauded the end.
     3. Do you see writing as a possible career?
Maybe as a part-time career. I don't spend enough time writing for it to be a full-time career and I couldn't live like that happily. I'd want to go to college and get a good job and be able to have both occupations.
     4. What are your current projects?
Gangster's Paradise, Soldier Boy (title changeable), and On the Ice.
     5. Do you ever experience writer's block?
All the time and I hate it! Haven't you noticed that I haven't written anything for On the Ice and My Second Chance in a while?
     6. Have you ever hated something that you wrote?
I've never hated anything but I have disliked. Most of my readers haven't read anything that wasn't something I liked. Everything I post is something that I don't think needs any changing.
     7. What is your favorite theme/genre to write about? What genre do you consider your book(s)?
I'd consider my books fiction and historical fiction.
     8. Do you write an outline before every book you write? How organized are you?
Very organized. You would not believe how organized. I've re-written chapters over and over again and I have plans for everything that happens and exactly when it does. I need everything I write to live up to my standards so I'm always very organized - I guess I have kind of high standards.
     9. Do you have any advice for other writers?
Just write what you love. Don't do anything else. Don't think that someone's writing style is better than yours. Every writer has his or her own style of writing - what words they use, how great the plot is, how well the characters our created... everyone's different.
